STATEMENT
I explore and materialize a longing to belong and a sense of being at home.
I seek connection by drawing parallels between different ways of living by bringing together fragments of rituals and traditions. This process results in objects that function as keepsakes: familiar, yet weighted by material and context.
Through these forms, I give voice to absence and loss that emerged during my childhood. Growing up with a multicultural identity, I experienced both the warmth of traditions and the confusion of their contradictions.
This tension created a sense of displacement, from which my drive to give meaning through images has grown.
My work is at once a message and a form of solace—a striving to truly find a sense of home.
BIO
I am a graduate visual artist, where I have developed both my artistic and coordinating skills. My interests lie in identity, social development, and collective experiences.
Next to my artistic practice, I have experience in program development and coordination within the cultural sector, helping to organize projects, support collaborations, and ensure events and programs run smoothly. I enjoy balancing the practical and creative sides of cultural projects and finding ways to make them engaging and accessible.
